New branches of Russian universities to open in Kazakhstan

Russian-Kazakh talks were held in Moscow, during which they discussed the opening and operation of branches of Russian universities, including educational organizations in the field of nuclear physics. The event was attended by a delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanash Ergaliev.

The parties considered a draft agreement between the governments of the two countries on the creation and functioning of branches of Russian universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and branches of Kazakhstani universities in the Russian Federation.

Separately, the meeting participants discussed issues of expanding the branch of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Nur-Sultan, including the opening of new areas of training and the possibility of creating a school for gifted children at the branch.

The parties also agreed to hold in 2022 the exhibitions “Days of the formation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation” and “Days of the formation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan”, as well as the Russian-Kazakh educational forum.
