The QS EECA University Rankings 2021, which was recently announced, includes 400 of the best universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA), with 52 new entrants this year. Among the list, Russian universities are Leading the Rankings in the QS EECA ranking 2021.
Similarly, this year’s top spot in the QS World University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) has been secured by Lomonosov Moscow State University. In this year’s rankings, Saint Petersburg State University went third place, while Novosibirsk State University dropped from third place to fifth place.
Further, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) is ranked under the ninth position in the latest QS EECA rankings, two places higher than last year’s rankings. This year, MIPT ranked at No. 9 making it the fourth among Russia’s best universities.
Tomsk State University was ranked tenth, rounding out the top ten universities this year’s ranking. In addition, HSE University improved as well, rising from the seventeenth to the sixteenth position.
However, the Russian universities achieved a perfect score of 100 for academic reputation, employer reputation, and faculty-to-student ratio.
Further, Ural Federal University – UrFU, National Research Nuclear University- MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), and National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University all maintained their positions in the top 50 best universities in the QS EECA list, remaining in the 27th, 28th, and 29th position respectively.
Similarly, Kazan (Volga region) Federal University placed at 32nd position, Bauman Moscow State Technical University placed at 34th, ITMO University at 36th, the National University of Science and Technology (MISIS) placed at 42nd while RUDN University and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University made their growth to 43rd and 45th position respectively
Overall, these Russian universities maintained their position in the top 50 best universities in the QS EECA ranking list.
