A graduate of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), Nguyen Thi Linh Phuong, after graduation, returned to her homeland and, after working for 11 years at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, was appointed dean of the Air Traffic Control Faculty.
According to Lin Phuong, she developed an interest in aviation and engineering quite early on. As a child, she lived near Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, which played a key role in choosing her future profession. The girl decided to devote herself to aviation and set herself the goal of entering a polytechnic university.
She herself describes the time of admission as follows: “Shortly before leaving school, I applied to the Ministry of Education of Vietnam for a scholarship to study abroad.”
Further, according to the girl, she was offered a fairly wide list of countries and her choice fell on Russia. In many ways, the choice was made thanks to the positive feedback from her father and uncle, who themselves had previously studied in Moscow.
As Lin Phuong herself notes, the MAI diploma is highly regarded in Vietnam as one of the best international universities in the field of aviation and astronautics. She saw this from personal experience: when she graduated with honors from the university and returned to Ho Chi Minh City, she was immediately offered to start lecturing at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, and 11 years later she was appointed Dean of the Air Traffic Control Faculty.
Despite her position, Nguyen Thi Linh Phuong continues to gain new knowledge and improve her skills. For example, she is currently undergoing distance learning under the System Analysis, Management, and Information Processing program at MAI.
